Save Ida Lake?

This drone footage, taken earlier this summer includes a flyover of Mt. Ida Lake in the Eastside neighborhood of Troy, NY.

Today, the water level is considerably lower as workers prepare to remove the dam on the Poestenkill which creates the small lake in Old Mt. Ida Cemetery.

The City of Troy will host a community discussion regarding the Mt. Ida Dam on Wednesday, Aug. 21, 6:30 p.m., at the Italian Community Center (1450 5th Avenue, Troy). Participants will receive an update on the current status of dam removal and will participate in a discussion on long-term options for the site.
